Peter H. Agrapides, MBA, CVA is the founder of Filotimo Capital Consultants, Inc. (“FCC”). Mr. Agrapides has extensive experience in preparing valuations for gift/estate and income taxation and reporting. He brings to the firm not only a strong real-world valuation skills, but also the knowledge of current valuation-related case law, an invaluable tool in today’s fast changing environment.
Mr. Agrapides has extensive knowledge of judicial case law as it relates to the valuation industry. He produces a regular column, the Case Law Corner. For The Valuation Examiner, which is a national professional development journal published bi-monthly by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (“NACVA”). Mr. Agrapides also produces regular columns, focused on valuation-related case law, appearing in NACVA’s Quick Read and Case Law Monitor.
Mr. Agrapides is currently the lead instructor, as well as primary author, of NACVA’s Valuation of Family Limited Partnerships 2-day seminar, as well as serving on the instructor team of the Current Update in Valuations course. He also teaches Business Valuation at the graduate level, at Westminster College’s Gore School of Business in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Agrapides is a current member of the editorial board for the Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis, which is published by the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University.
Mr. Agrapides was elected to NACVA’s Valuation Credentialing Board in 2010 (serving through 2012), was named NACVA’s Outstanding Member in November 2010, named an Emerging Leader in the Valuation Industry by NACVA in 2011, and named to the inaugural 40 Under 40 in the Valuation industry in 2014.
Mr. Agrapides received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Utah and earned his Masters of Business Administration from the Gore School of Business in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (“CVA”) with NACVA.
